July 5 night attack on Ukraine: air defense downs Shaheds in Dnipropetrovsk region, while explosions thunder near Kharkiv
The Air Force stated that Russian terrorists might have launched attack UAVs from the north on the night of July 4-5. Explosions were heard in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions

Around 12:30 a.m., an air alert was issued in the Sumy and Poltava regions, warning of potential UAV attacks.
At 12:42 a.m., sirens sounded in the Kharkiv region. The air raid warning was lifted at 3:00 a.m.
Kharkiv and the region
At approximately 1:49 a.m., Suspilne reported two explosions on the outskirts of Kharkiv.
As of 2:35 a.m., there were no official comments from the authorities.
Dnipropetrovsk region
During the night, Ukrainian soldiers successfully destroyed a Shahed drone in the sky above the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"After midnight, defenders from the Air Command East shot down a drone over the region, specifically the Shahed-136. There were no further attacks recorded in the region that night. All cities and districts remained calm," stated Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration.

Throughout the night and into the early morning of July 3, the Russian army once again launched attacks on various regions of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions, and the air defense systems were activated.
