Joe Biden, Xi Jinping might agree on new form of peaceful coexistence – diplomat Ohryzko
Ukrainian diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko believes that Joe Biden and Xi Jinping might reach an understanding that involves putting pressure on Russia for a peaceful coexistence
He shared this view during an interview on Espreso.
"A lot can be expected from the meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping. It might be only the exchange of ideas. It’s normal when leaders meet to discuss ideas without necessarily signing official documents. Face-to-face dialogue is crucial," Ohryzko explained.
The diplomat suggests that the USA and China could find a new way to peacefully coexist.
"I'm hopeful about this meeting. It appears that the United States wants to work out a peaceful coexistence agreement with China, which could benefit both sides. If they succeed, it would be excellent news for Ukraine. If Biden and Xi Jinping agree to maintain peace and resolve conflicts through negotiations, China should exert pressure on Russia for this agreement to work. If China is an ally of the state that constantly violates international law, they won’t agree on anything," he added.
