Blinken emphasized that determining territorial boundaries within Ukraine should be solely Ukraine's prerogative. However, he pointed out that meaningful peace talks with Russia are currently elusive, stating, "it takes two to tango."
He further commented, "And thus far, we see no indication that Russian President Vladimir Putin has any interest in meaningful diplomacy. If he does, I think the Ukrainians will be the first to engage and we'll be right behind them," Blinken said. "Everyone wants this war to end."
Blinken expressed his confidence in Ukraine's ultimate success, attributing it to the Ukrainian people's unwavering resolve, bravery, and determination, their government, and President Zelenskyy.
