Russian commanders sell mobilized servicemen to PMCs: ISW reveals price
Russian field commanders sell mobilized personnel to Russian private military companies (PMCs) for at least $270
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report cites the Russian publication Vazhnye Istorii (iStories) as saying this.
It is noted that the media outlet spoke with the mother of a Russian mobilized soldier who had been reportedly sold to Redut private military company (PMC) for 25,000 rubles ($272).
The mother claimed that Russian Colonel “Kozhanov” sold one of his mobilized fighters assigned to two military units, the 1440thMobilized Regiment (unit 29593) and unit 29303, to the "Veterany" separate sabotage assault brigade (Redut PMC).
"Relatives of servicemen in the 1440th Mobilized Regiment previously complained in May 2023 that the Russian command transferred elements of the regiment to the "Veterany" brigade," ISW notes.
The Russian forces are preparing for "the third series of major assaults near Avdiivka" and "the third massive assault on Avdiivka" this time in the area of the Avdiivka Coke Plant.
