Israel launches military operation in Iran - Al Arabiya

Al Arabiya reports, citing unnamed sources that, on the night of January 28 to 29, Israel attacked Iranian military facilities

Al Arabiya reports that explosions occurred at a defense plant in the city of Isfahan, as well as military facilities in the city of Khoy, at a petrochemical plant in the city of Azarshahr, and in the city of Karaj, Alborz province.

Around 2:00 am Kyiv time, explosions rang out in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Al Arabiya claims that Israel has launched a military operation in Iran.

Instead, the Iranian authorities talk about the successful work of air defense.

Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov also reported on the attack on Facebook.

“At night there was an attack by 'kamikaze' drones on military facilities on the territory of Iran. Unknown drones suddenly hit several military facilities and an oil refinery. Explosions and large-scale fires are reported in the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Khoy, Salimi, Hamedan, Javanrud, and Rasht.  Videos of significant damage and large fires in Iranian cities appear.  No country in the world has claimed responsibility for this full-scale attack. The attack in Iran began immediately after the outbreak of terrorist acts in Israel and in the Gaza Strip, as a result of which many Israelis died. Only Israel could have launched such a powerful drone strike. Interestingly, Iran, armed with the latest Russian air defense systems, was unable to repel the attack. Iran is now Russia's main military ally, and the two terrorist countries exchange military technology and weapons, and conduct joint military operations. This is a very fair punishment for Iran, which is waging an open terrorist war against many countries, including Ukraine. Drones have become the main type of strike weapon of the 21st century. Their advantage is low cost and anonymity. Drones make it possible to wage war without declaring war,” he wrote.
