Israel demands Al Jazeera's local office closes over "inciting Hamas"
Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi demands the closure of the local Al Jazeera due to "incitement of Hamas" and "potential danger to Israeli soldiers"
Reuters reported the information.
The proposal to close Al Jazeera was checked by Israeli security services and is currently being reviewed by legal experts. Shlomo Karhi said that after that it would be submitted to the government.
"This is a station that incites, this is a station that films troops in assembly areas (outside Gaza) ... that incites against the citizens of Israel - a propaganda mouthpiece. It is unconscionable that Hamas spokespeople's message goes through this stationю I hope we will finish with this today," the minister added.
For reference. Al Jazeera is a Qatari television company with headquarters around the world. It has previously faced accusations of propaganda activities.
