Iranian plane carrying new batch of Shahed drones touches down in Moscow
On Thursday, November 3, a transport plane from Iran, allegedly carrying Shahed-136 'kamikaze' drones, arrived in Moscow
This was reported by Bild.
Thus, on the morning of November 3, an IL-76 transport plane took off from Tehran and landed at the Russian Vnukovo airport around noon on the same day. Two photographs from anonymous sources show pallets with large boxes being taken out of the plane to the hangar.
It is noted that the plane on which the cargo arrived in Moscow belongs to the private Iranian airline Pouya Air, which until 2012 was called Yas Air. It changed its name after being on the US sanctions list. The US Department of the Treasury claims that the planes of this company transport illegal cargo.
The publication's military expert Julian Röpcke believes that a new batch of Shahed-136 'kamikaze' drones arrived in Russia on the Il-76 plane. The Russians are actively using them in the war against Ukraine.
