Iranian Foreign Minister calls Ukraine 'black market' where militants get weapons. Kyiv reacts

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says Ukraine is one of the black markets where militants get weapons. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry responds

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The ministry said that during an online speech at the Doha Forum on December 11, 2023, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian confirmed the provision of "all kinds of support in the past" to Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad, claiming that it was allegedly in line with international law. At the same time, he said that "one of the black markets from which they can get weapons is Ukraine."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine denies these allegations as they are not true. The Foreign Ministry reminded that Ukraine has transparent mechanisms for monitoring the receipt and use of weapons received from international partners.

"The hypocrisy of this statement becomes even more obvious if we take into account Iran's confirmed direct deliveries of drones to Russia, which have long been proven by real evidence and facts that Iran does not want to accept or see, despite their absolute obviousness and undeniability," the Foreign Ministry emphasized.
