Iran threatens to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty - media
The European Parliament called on the EU to add the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to the list of terrorist organizations. In response, Iran threatens to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
Anadolu publication reports this with reference to a statement by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
"Some European diplomats, such as the German Foreign Minister, are working, although they do not have enough experience. If they do not take a reasonable course and correct their political views, Iran will consider all options," he said.
Thus, the Iranian Foreign Minister answered the question of whether Tehran would withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The statement was made in Iran after the European Parliament called on the EU to add the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to the list of terrorist organizations. The IRGC was accused of suppressing protests and supplying drones to the Russian military for use in the war in Ukraine.
Abdollahian stated that EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell told him that the European Parliament did not seek to implement the decision, it was only an expression of the emotional approach of its representatives.
