Iran does not have capacity to produce 20 thousand Shahed drones for Serbia - Ukraine’s official
Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets believes that Serbia will not receive Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Actually, if we talk about yesterday's news that Serbia plans to buy more than 20 thousand Shahed kamikaze drones from Iran, such things are simply impossible. After all, Iran's potential is not capable of producing such a large number of weapons of this type. Moreover, Iran has certain agreements on the production and supply of these drones to Russia. Therefore, this information is likely to be more politically beneficial for Serbia than it will actually be implemented," Zgurets explained.
The analyst is convinced that Serbia will not be armed with Iranian Shahed drones.
"Perhaps this news was intended to sensationalize the visit of the Serbian Foreign Ministry delegation to Tehran. However, I think that it is unlikely that Serbia will be armed with Iranian Shahed drones. I would also like to emphasize that we need to reduce the level of perception of this or that news. After all, from the very beginning, all this information looked unrealistic," he added.
