Iran boasts that Shahed drones "change game rules" of war in Ukraine
Hamzeh Ghalandari, the head of the Iranian Defense Ministry's foreign affairs department, said that Iranian-made weapons were effective last year, referring to ‘kamikaze’ drones
He said this in an interview with the Iranian IRNA news agency
"The world is amazed that a country that is struggling in all spheres and does not have access to any technology has now reached a level where it is a leader in technology and weapons, as the media say, has 'changed the rules of the game,'" Ghalandari said.
In addition, according to Ghalandari, Iran's alleged arms sales to other countries are not for economic gain, but "based on its religious and revolutionary ideals."
Although the Iranian Defense Ministry official did not specify the specific content, it was after Russia began using Iranian Shahed drones to massively bomb Ukraine that Iran's weapons attracted media attention.

On May 9, it became known that a group of Iranian engineers visited the Gomel radio plant. During the business trip, they discussed the possibility of systematic production of ‘kamikaze’ drones.
