"As for the specific targets (of Russian forces in Ukraine - ed.), which we knew from the very beginning and spoke about it publicly, that President Putin and the Russian military, of course, had the intention of hitting target civilians, including journalists", Jen Psaki answered the question whether the United States has information that invaders are deliberately killing journalists in Ukraine, since at least seven of them have died since February 24.

According to the White House press secretary, the United States appreciates the work of journalists who during the war report truthful and up-to-date information, but the US administration has urged Americans not to be in war zones for their safety.
