Invaders destroyed the long-term archive of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant - Energoatom

Almost all office premises in buildings in the Chernobyl zone were significantly damaged, broken and completely plundered. The invaders also destroyed the long-term archive of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant

It is reported by NNEGC "Energoatom".

Almost all office premises in buildings in the Chernobyl zone were significantly damaged, broken and completely plundered. The Russians stole not only the property of state-owned enterprises, but also the personal belongings of employees at their workplaces. A modern analytical laboratory worth 6 million euros was also looted and destroyed in Chernobyl.

"It was a unique complex with powerful analytical capabilities and could provide services at any stage of radioactive waste management, as well as at the stage of research and development of technologies", Energoatom emphasizes.

The Chairman of the Public Council under the State Agency of Ukraine for the Management of the Exclusion Zone Oleksandr Syrota published a photo with the remains of the Chernobyl archive in the trash.

The report also adds that it is too early to draw general conclusions about the background radiation.

"The ARMS system should be launched (if it is possible, there has not been a detour of the sensors yet) to rely on facts, but point measurements showed significant levels for the area in which they were carried out", the State Agency for Zone Management noted.

Visiting the Chernobyl zone and being in it is extremely dangerous.
