Invaders concentrated on the exit to the administrative border of Kherson region, and also intensified offensive actions along the entire line of contact in the Donetsk and Tauride directions - the General Staff

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

"In the Donetsk and Tauride directions, Russian invaders have stepped up offensive operations along the entire line of confrontation. The main efforts of the invader are focused on breaking through the defense of our troops in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as well as establishing full control over the city of Mariupol. In the Zaporizhzhya region, the concentration of troops continues in the areas", the message says.

As for the Southern Bug direction, here the invader is trying to reach the administrative border of the Kherson region. In order to improve their tactical position, the invaders are trying to conduct offensive operations in the area of ​​Oleksandrivka.

The invader does not stop shelling civilian objects in the city of Mykolaiv.

At the same time, Russia stepped up missile strikes on targets in Western Ukraine on the same day. Also, missile and air strikes on civilian targets throughout Ukraine do not stop.

In the Slobozhansky and Donetsk operational areas, the aggressor is conducting offensive and assault operations in separate directions.

The invader continues to overturn weapons, military equipment, support units, deploy logistics centers and bases for the repair of military equipment.

The invaders continue to partially block Kharkiv.

"According to the available information, in order to organize the air defense system of the offensive grouping, the invader is carrying out the rollover of additional anti-aircraft missile divisions of the Tor air defense system into the Kharkiv region. At the same time, in the regions of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, to cover the main command posts, as well as  rear areas for deployment of S-400 and S-300 anti-aircraft missile battalions", the General Staff noted.

Offensive operations are carried out by the invaders in the Izyum direction, in particular, on the left bank of the Siversky Donets River. To support offensive actions, the invader created a system of main and reserve firing positions for missile and cannon artillery.

On the Volhynia, Polissya and Siversky directions without significant changes.

According to updated information, the loss of the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet is up to 75%. The 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet lost 158 ​​servicemen killed, about 500 wounded, and 70 people are missing.

A significant part of the servicemen of these brigades wrote reports refusing to participate in the so-called "special operation".

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the defenders of Ukraine over the past day, April 18, repulsed seven invader attacks, destroyed 10 tanks, 18 armored vehicles and 8 vehicles, one artillery system, as well as an invader mortar with a crew.

The grouping of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the previous day hit 7 air targets: one aircraft, 4 UAVs and 2 cruise missiles.
