Invaders are concentrating their main efforts on preparing an offensive in eastern Ukraine and continue to commit violent acts against civilians - General Staff

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

"The main efforts of the invaders are focused on preparing for an offensive operation in the east of Ukraine, the purpose of which is to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions", the report says.

Slobozhansky, Donetsk, South Bug and Tavrian directions remain the most active.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the invaders block Kharkiv and fire at it from artillery.

Artillery is also shelling Popasna in the Luhansk region. Thus, the invaders want to resume the attack on Rubizhne, Nizhne and Novobakhmutivka. In addition, Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops in the Novotoshkivsky area.

In the South Bug direction, the invader is defending the previously occupied lines, trying to restore the combat capability of his units. Continues tough filtration measures in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.

"Some of the withdrawn Russian units are being deployed in tent camps on the territory of a number of regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine. The servicemen refuse to participate in further hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. The morale and psychological state of the indicated personnel is low and tends to worsen", the General Staff.

"The command of the armed forces of the Russian Federation continues to search for ways to solve the problematic issue of replenishing human resources for its units", the report says.

The Russian military commissariats have stepped up work with those who were discharged after 2012 and were liable for military service. In particular, with those with military registration specialties of a driver, mechanic-driver, scout, as well as junior commanders. They are officially called to a meeting for three months.

The invaders continue to carry out violent actions against the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, residents of Mariupol are forcibly taken to the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region.
