Interethnic conflict erupts among Russian forces in Zaporizhzhia region, killing 20
A gun battle erupted in the temporarily occupied village of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia region, reportedly stemming from an "interethnic conflict" among Russian forces. The incident resulted in the deaths of over 20 soldiers and injuries to approximately 40 others
This was reported by Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar.
According to her, inter-ethnic contradictions among the servicemen of the Russian occupying forces are flourishing not only in Russia but also in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
"For example, in the village of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia region, during the filming of a Russian propaganda story about a high-ranking Kadyrov-appointed official, Dagestani servicemen expressed dissatisfaction, which escalated into a clash," Maliar wrote.
According to the Deputy Defense Minister, 20 soldiers were killed and about 40 others were injured as a result of the shooting.
