The spokesperson for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, reported the information on his Facebook page.
"Ukrainian diplomats conducted a successful rescue operation - they evacuated a Ukrainian boy from the city of Sderot who was injured during a militant attack. He is now in a safe place under the care of the Embassy. He has been provided with medical and psychological assistance," Nikolenko wrote.
In particular, according to him, they managed to find 5 citizens who were considered missing in southern Israel. At the same time, there was information about the possible death of 2 other Ukrainians near the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently checking this information.
"In total, over the past day, the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine processed over 200 appeals from citizens. We are recording massive flight cancellations. We are looking for solutions to help our people leave the country," summarized the Foreign Ministry spokesman.
The ministry is also awaiting official confirmation of the information about the possible death of a Ukrainian in the Gaza Strip.
The diplomatic mission in Ramallah is in constant contact with the Ukrainian community. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on potential evacuation routes.
