On January 1, Russian forces damaged infrastructure and private houses in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. A local resident was injured

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synyehubov.

"Yesterday, the Russian forces continued shelling the border areas of the Kharkiv region and settlements close to the contact line in Kupiansk and Chuhuiv districts," Synyehubov writes.

It is reported that the Russian forces fired on Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Ohirtseve, Novomlynsk, Andriivka, Kucherivka, Lyman Pershyi, Vilshany, Orlyanske, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka.

In Kupiansk five private houses were damaged by Russian shelling and infrastructure was damaged.

A 77-year-old woman was injured by the Russian attack. She was provided with medical aid on the spot.

"Our defenders are holding their positions on the contact line. We support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and continue to work for victory," Synyehubov claimed.
