In Crimea, Russians seize Ukrainian citizens' real estate, and in Kharkiv region, Russian reconnaissance group attempts to break through the border — General Staff

This is stated in the morning briefing on May 31 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

In the temporarily occupied Yalta in Crimea, the Russian occupation authorities are illegally seizing real estate from Ukrainian citizens who have not taken Russian citizenship during the occupation of the peninsula. Instead, these homes are settled by members of the Russian occupation forces.

Furthermore, in the occupied city of Stanytsia Luhanska, employees of public institutions are being paid their salaries exclusively through a Russian bank.

The message emphasizes that the invaders persist in attempting to force Russian citizenship upon the local population through various means. As a result, only those who have re-registered at a Russian bank will receive their payment in June.

Ukraine experienced 64 air strikes and 1 missile strike from Russia

Despite suffering significant losses, the Russian Federation continues its aggressive war, employing terror tactics to intimidate both military and civilian targets in Ukraine.

Just recently, on May 30, the Russian Federation conducted another large-scale airstrike on Ukrainian territory using Shahed attack UAVs. Our defenders successfully destroyed most of the drones, but unfortunately, there are civilian casualties, and private residential buildings as well as other civil and administrative infrastructure have been damaged.

In total, the enemy launched 64 air strikes and 1 missile strike, along with 88 MLRS attacks, within the last 24 hours.

There is a high likelihood of continued threats from missile and air strikes across Ukraine in the future.

Ukrainian forces repel 22 Russian attacks at the frontlines, situation by directions

The enemy still attempts to completely occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Defense Forces units repelled 22 enemy attacks yesterday. 

On the northern border with Belarus, the operational situation remains stable, with no signs of offensive groups forming.

On the northeastern border with Russia, the Russian army continues to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. 

Russians made an unsuccessful attempt to infiltrate a sabotage and reconnaissance group across the State Border of Ukraine in the area of ​​Zelene, Kharkiv region.

Over the past day, Russia launched an airstrike near Udy. 

It fired mortar and artillery shells at 9 settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops launched unsuccessful attacks near 1 settlement in the Kharkiv region and 1 more in the Luhansk region over the past day. 

They launched air strikes in two areas and shelled 7 settlements in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Russian soldiers attempted one unsuccessful assault over the past day.

They launched air strikes near 2 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. They also shelled 4 settlements.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops did not assault over the last day. They carried out an air strike and a missile strike near two settlements in the Donetsk region.

Eight settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from Russian shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops attacked in the North unsuccessfully. 

They launched air strikes near Avdiivka and artillery shelling of 4 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all the attacks near the town of Marinka. 

Russian forces launched an air strike near Marinka. At the same time, 2 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces launched air strikes near 3 ares. 

They shelled 5 settlements.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive.

They carried out air strikes near 1 settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region. 

They shelled 14 settlements in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, and one city in the Mykolaiv region. 

During the past day, the Armed Forces successfully targeted and destroyed various enemy assets 

The defense forces' aviation conducted 11 strikes on areas where the enemy had concentrated personnel and military equipment. They also carried out a strike on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complex. 

Furthermore, missile forces and artillery units targeted and destroyed 3 control points, an area with concentrated enemy personnel, 4 artillery units in firing positions, an anti-aircraft missile complex, 3 fuel and lubricant warehouses, and a radio-electronic warfare station. Additionally, the Ukrainian army successfully neutralized 32 Shahed attack UAVs.

• On May 30, in the Kyiv region, the Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 20 Shahed UAVs, debris hit a high-rise building. There is one fatality and nine injuries, with reports of fires and destruction as a result of the attack. Furthermore, four people sustained injuries in the region.
