IMF flags growing risks to financial stability amid pandemic, Russia's war on Ukraine
The head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, says that the risks to financial stability have increased and urges governments to remain vigilant
Reuters reported the information.
The IMF Managing Director reiterated that 2023 will be another difficult year, with global growth slowing to below 3% due to the effects of the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and monetary tightening.
At the China Development Forum, she said that even with a better outlook for 2024, global growth would remain well below the historical average of 3.8%, and the overall outlook remains weak.

The G7 countries have agreed to defer repayment of loans to Ukraine until 2027, when the current IMF program ends.
