If Russian forces break through 'grain' corridor, they will go the way of the cruiser Moskva - Hanna Malyar
Ukraine's Defense Ministry has warned the Russian Federation of a tough response if Russian ships enter Ukrainian territorial waters
The Deputy Defense Minister, Hanna Malyar, made a statement during the All-Ukrainian telethon.
"Currently, we are talking with you about the safe navigation of agricultural products through the Black Sea. And it is very important to understand that this is necessary for the economy of Ukraine. And it is important for us to export this grain to the world now. Enemy ships will not enter our territorial waters along the route. Likewise it is about the safety of our airspace. It is necessary to understand that the movement of ships takes place under the control of the military leadership. This is how we, in particular, protect our territory at sea. Therefore, if there are any provocations from the Russian Federation, there will be a response from our side. Our Neptunes and Harpoons (sea-based missiles - Ed.) are watching, as always," said Malyar.
She emphasized that Russian ships do not have the right to enter the territorial waters of Ukraine.
"Our territory is not only land, but also the sea within certain borders determined by international law. All borders remain inviolable. Enemy ships will not be able to enter there. At most, we continue to protect them (borders - Ed.) as have done before," she added.
When asked by the presenter whether Ukraine will attack Russian ships if they enter Ukrainian waters, Hanna Malyar answered in the affirmative.
