He said this at a briefing at  Ukraine Media Center.

“At 10:30 am there was a powerful rocket strike. It was a rocket with cluster bombs that exploded over the station. At that time people were waiting for the first train, it arrives at 10:30 - 11:00 am. There were about 4K people at railway station ", - he said.

Mayor reminded that Kramatorsk was evacuation hub.

"Every day we sent up to 8K  people. The first gathering took place between 10 and 11 am. Russian occupiers intended to kill 4K people. 90% of them are women, old people and children," he said.

Goncharenko told  that 30 people had been killed and up to 100 injured so far, including two children.

"Among injuries are people without legs, without arms. I think there will be more appeals. People will come with injuries. We received help from all cities of Donetsk region. 40 doctors were provided, all of them are now operating people," said mayor.

"If  occupiers had hit railway station a little bit more precisely, 4K people would have died. Everyone present should have died from this missile. It is a deliberate blow. Everyone knows that Kramatorsk is an evacuation center, up to 8K people go from here daily. Now we are switching to another mode.

“We will transport to safer places where trains will be served. Today we are starting to evacuate people by all public and private transport, we are looking for drivers, we need 30-40 drivers, we are attracting everyone," Goncharenko said.

He added that enemy intended to cause panic and kill many people.

"Ultimate goal is panic. To make everyone panic. To make evacuation more difficult," he concluded
