He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"There was a report that 13,000 Belarusian military personnel signed an agreement that they are ready to fight. In Belarus, if a document is brought, people will sign it without reading the document. No more than 10% of the military are ready to participate in the war against Ukraine - this is not Belarus's war." - noted Oleksandr Azarov.
According to him, everyone in Belarus believes that Lukashenko is a peacemaker and wants to negotiate.
"If Lukashenko starts a war, he will lose his image as a peacemaker. The Belarusian military does not believe that Lukashenko will send them to war. Belarusians do not want and are not going to fight for the Russians either," Azarov added.
