ICC’s decision on Putin's arrest warrant is justified – Biden

The International Criminal Court's arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin “makes a strong point” because the Russian president has committed war crimes

US President Joe Biden supports the International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin who committed war crimes, the New York Times reports.

"I think it (the ICC arrest warrant for Putin – ed.) is justified. Putin has clearly committed war crimes," Biden said during a meeting with journalists at the White House.

The US president further emphasized that the decision of the court in The Hague to issue the warrant made "a very strong point."

He also noted that the United States is not a member of the ICC.
