Hutsulka Ksenya from Verkhovyna: the 19-year-old machine gunner's story

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported this on Facebook, Espreso.West reports. 

It is noted that Oksana Rubaniak had little time to master the military profession. She had to learn everything already in the war zone.

"Only we, Ukrainians, with our will, hard work, and perseverance can knock out the enemy from our land, and thus - give the country a chance for civilized goods", the defender said. 

At the beginning of the great war, the girl enrolled in one of the volunteer formations of Ivano-Frankivsk. Then she helped patrol the city and maintain public order. Before the full-scale invasion, Oksana worked in the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, where she organized various patriotic events in the youth policy and sports department.
