Hungary has become Russia’s satellite in EU - Ukraine’s MP Kniazhytskyi
Member of Parliament Mykola Kniazhytskyi believes that Hungary's position on Ukraine's cooperation with NATO will not be a key factor in the future European integration of Ukraine
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"It is obvious that Hungary has become a satellite of the Russian Federation in the European Union. This is very disappointing. However, strangely enough, Hungary is a democratic country. Therefore, we hope that through democracy, the government that is trying to forget its own history will be doomed to political defeat," explained Kniazhytskyi.
The MP noted that Hungary continues to play along with Russian narratives not only regarding Ukraine.
"Hungary blocks cooperation with NATO not only for Ukraine but also for a number of European countries. We remember very well the heated discussions around the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO. Obviously, these factors need to be taken into account. However, I do not think that these factors will be key in our future," he emphasized.
