Hungary approves appointment of Ukraine's Ambassador Shandor - media
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has approved the decision to issue a letter of credentials to Ukraine's Ambassador to Budapest, Uzhhorod National University professor and Armed Forces serviceman Fedir Shandor
This was reported by the ATV TV channel, according to Espreso.
In accordance with the procedure, the signed decision of Hungarian President Katalin Novák on the appointment of a new ambassador of Ukraine was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for counter-signature by the Minister.
As noted, the President's decision will become official when Ambassador Shandor arrives in Budapest and presents his credentials to Novak.
For reference. Fedir Shandor is a Doctor of Philosophy and Candidate of Sociology. He has been working at Uzhhorod National University for over 20 years. In 2020, Shandor was elected to the Transcarpathian Regional Council. He is the chairman of the Servant of the People faction.
On February 24, 2022, the professor became a soldier of the 68th Detached Territorial Defense Brigade.
