This was reported by the Hungarian Foreign Minister on Facebook.

"With a mild winter behind us, Europe has survived in terms of energy supply. However, due to the radical increase in energy demand in China's restarting economy and the extremely slow pace of development of European energy infrastructure, the real challenge will be next winter," Szijjártó wrote.

According to the official, the security of Hungary's energy supply requires uninterrupted supplies of gas, crude oil and nuclear fuel. So, to ensure that these conditions are met, he decided to travel to Moscow.

"This is not about political tastes, but about physics. Today in Moscow, we will discuss the most important issues of cooperation necessary for the security of Hungary's energy supply: first with Russian Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Alexander Novak, and then with Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev," the Foreign Minister said.

  • Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto called Ukraine's possible membership in NATO unacceptable. He promised to do everything to prevent the Alliance from becoming a party to the conflict with Russia.
