Is the fulfillment of all 1220 criteria a condition for joining NATO? No. Because there are member states of the Alliance that, before joining, had fulfilled a tenth of the total number. At the same time, each NATO country also has its own national standards, and they are all different. But issues of interoperability in joint operations are very important.
