HIMARS will be able to control not only Dnipro's left bank, but almost entire Crimea when they are in Kherson - military expert
Oleksii Hetman, a military expert and a veteran of the Russia-Ukraine war, says that in order to make it impossible for the Russian enemy to attack Kherson with long-range weapons, it is necessary to move the contact line at least 20-25 km from the regional center
He said this on Espreso TV.
The military expert noted: “I will tell you more when we enter Kherson and arrange our positions, we will be able to control with our HIMARS not only the left bank of the Dnipro River but almost the entire Crimea. That is, the peninsula will be under our fire control, as well as the coast almost to Mariupol, so this is a very important strategic point for us, and not only a political decision - the liberation of Kherson.”
Oleksii Hetman added that occupying an important military facility is a strong motivation for Ukrainian servicemen.
“And in order to make it impossible for the enemy to attack with long-range weapons, and we are talking about the 115th caliber, which fires accurately at 25 km, we need to move the contact line at least 20-25 km from Kherson. Then we will be sure that the enemy will not be able to attack Kherson with artillery, only with missiles, but this is no longer constant powerful shelling, and this is very important,” Hetman explained.
