Heads of 5 states agree on close cooperation in military support for Ukraine

On January 25, the leaders of the USA, the UK, Germany, France, and Italy agreed to continue military support for Ukraine “in close Euro-Atlantic coordination”

The German federal government's press service reported this.

“Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Wednesday afternoon spoke by phone with US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The conversation was focused on the security situation in Ukraine and further support for the Ukrainian struggle against Russia's attack,” the report said.

The German government added that the leaders of five states and governments agreed to continue military support for Ukraine in close Euro-Atlantic coordination.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak tweeted about the conversation between the heads of five countries and governments.

“We have a window to accelerate efforts to secure a lasting peace for Ukrainians. Let's keep it up,” he wrote.
