The IT Army of Ukraine reports.

"On October 12, we successfully attacked energy networks of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region of the joint-stock company "LOESK". Simply put, Russian thermal power plant," the message says.

According to the hackers, they managed to get inside the network infrastructure, gain access to the operators' workplaces and "play with the switches".

"Yes, the recent power outages in the Leningrad Region are our doing," the hacktivists said.

In addition, specialists of the IT army of Ukraine appealed to Russians and emphasized that their data is very poorly protected, and if it was possible to attack an entire power grid company, then it will be even easier to hack the data of its ordinary users.

"We received so much information that we had to process it for two days. Passports, documents, databases of employees and customers ended up in our hands," the hackers say.

All data, documents, passports and orders, according to the hackers, have already been uploaded to the Internet - so that any user can download this information and do whatever they want with it.
