Over 130 million tons of cargo shipped via Ukraine’s maritime corridor

Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, reported the information.

He noted that grain and food products from Ukraine continue to reach dozens of countries around the world—from Asia to Latin America—including regions for which the sea route is the only available supply channel. This helps maintain stability in the global food market, even in the fourth year of the full-scale war.

"Before the large-scale war, 94% of Ukrainian agricultural products were exported by sea. Now it’s 90%. Almost all food exports are still carried out via maritime routes. This is critically important for Ukraine’s economy, for farmers, for international partners, and for millions of people waiting for Ukrainian grain," Kuleba wrote.

Since the corridor began operating, more than 5,000 ships have left the ports of Greater Odesa. In addition to agricultural products, other strategically important cargo has also been transported through it: metal, ore, fertilizers, and humanitarian aid.

Kuleba recalled that the corridor continues to function despite constant shelling. Since it began operating, 423 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged, 32 civilian vessels have been affected, 115 people have been injured, and there have been fatalities.
