Government's archive of Russian war crimes has been made available
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, together with partners, created an online archive of Russian war crimes
The evidence collected in it tells the world the truth about the atrocities of the Russian army in Ukraine and guarantees strict punishment for Russian war criminals. This was announced on Saturday, April 9, 2022 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, tells Espreso.TV.
"Thousands of Ukrainians were killed, tortured, shot by Russians. Civilians were killed with their hands tied behind their backs on the streets of Bucha. Raped and murdered women and children. Shelling of maternity hospitals, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, humanitarian corridors. Forced deportation. We thoroughly document every atrocity, every crime. We have created a special online archive of crimes so that the world knows the truth, and the Russians are held responsible for every Ukrainian tear and drop of blood", he stressed.
The online archive is already working and is available at https://war.ukraine.ua/russia-war-crimes/. The data will be constantly updated in cooperation with Ukrainian law enforcement agencies and international organizations and monitoring missions.
The site documents the war crimes committed by the Russian army in Ukraine during the full-scale invasion since February 24, 2022. Crimes are divided into 7 categories:
- killing innocents
- attacks on the civilian population or civilian objects
- destruction of settlements
- hostages and torture
- illegal deportation
- attacks on religion and culture
- rape
The site immerses visitors in the horrific atmosphere of the war in which Ukrainians have been forced to live for more than six weeks: the sounds of air sirens, fighter jets and missile strikes, the horrific testimonies of survivors.
"We will definitely punish Russian war criminals for the atrocities in Ukraine. Not only the perpetrators, but also the commanders who gave orders and the entire vertical to the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation. The online archive ensures that the Russians will not be able to hide the truth about their terrible crimes in Ukraine from the world", summed up Dmytro Kuleba.
The online archive is an integral part of war.ukraine.ua - the official resource about the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
