The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has said that Germany is working on providing Ukraine with an additional Patriot system for the winter months

Zelenskyy reported this after a “fruitful” meeting with the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, whom he talked to at a gathering of European leaders in Spain on Thursday.
“Germany is working on providing Ukraine with an additional Patrio” system for the winter months. I’m grateful for Germany’s support in defending our freedom and people,” Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy wrote on the X (Twitter) social media.
“This is also the defense of Europe and our shared values,” he added.
The US-made Patriot missile defense system is one of an array of sophisticated air defense units supplied by the West to Ukraine. Kyiv says Patriot is highly-effective in repelling Russian attacks ad shooting down missiles of various kinds, including Russia’s hypersonic Kinzhal missile.
