Germany to allocate EUR 20 million to Ukraine for backup equipment for critical infrastructure
The allocated funds will be used to purchase mobile generators, automatic pumping stations for water supply, and mobile thermal power plants
This is stated on the page of Ukraine's Ministry of Communities and Territories Development.
Germany will allocate EUR 20 million for the purchase of equipment. Agreements were reached during a meeting with the Minister of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection Steffi Lemke.
Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov noted that the funds allocated by Germany will primarily be used to purchase mobile generators, automatic pumping stations for water supply, and mobile thermal power plants.
“In conditions when our infrastructure is under constant terrorist crosshairs, we need to provide Ukraine with reserve power as much as possible, and Ukrainians with heat, light and water,” Chernyshov emphasized.
