Germany successfully tests laser weapons to combat drones
The Bundeswehr has tested a laser weapon that will neutralize drones. The tests that took place on the German frigate Sachsen have shown successful operation and laid the foundation for the possible development of a laser weapon system

Due to its capabilities, the future system is suitable for combating small and mobile targets, the German Armed Forces emphasized. The Bundeswehr says that laser weapons can serve as protection against unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles. In addition, protection against mortar shells and guided missiles is possible.
The next tests will take place until the middle of 2023.
