Germany agrees with Poland to repair Leopard tanks damaged in Ukraine
Berlin says Polish partners will be able to repair Leopard 2A4 tanks damaged at the front in Ukraine
This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to a statement by German Defence Ministry spokesman Mitko Müller at a briefing in Berlin.
"We welcome the fact that now Ukrainian Leopard 2A4 tanks can also be repaired in Poland," the officer said.
Müller praised German-Polish cooperation. The German Defence Ministry spokesperson did not disclose the amount and scope of the repairs.
Previously, such repairs were carried out only in Germany.
German companies are already starting repair works on the 2A5 and 2A6 models. Müller did not rule out that these tanks could be repaired in other countries.
