Gepard, Vector drones, ammunition: Germany announces new aid package for Ukraine
Germany has updated its military aid package to Ukraine, including 24 MRAP vehicles for protection against mines and ambushes, ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks, and for MARDER infantry fighting vehicles. Ukraine has also received three Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems and 10,000 rounds of ammunition for them

The German Ministry of Defense website states the aid includes missiles for the IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense system, 5,000 rounds of 155mm ammunition, 2,000 rounds of 122mm ammunition, and 8,000 rounds for 120mm mortars.
Additionally, Ukraine has received 50 VECTOR reconnaissance drones with spare parts, 30 Gereon RCS tracked drones, and 30 drone detection systems.
Other supplies include two WISENT 1 mine-clearing vehicles, 100 portable mine detection systems, two mine detectors, laser rangefinders, infrared binoculars, transport vehicles, assault rifles, and medical kits.
- The European Council has approved a third regular payment of €3.5 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program, as announced on the EU Council’s website.
