Russia shells Sumy region, killing 3 people, demaging houses and bakery
On January 29, the invading Russian army shelled the Znob-Novhorodske community, Sumy region, killing three civilians
The head of the community, Petro Honcharov, told Suspilne.
"Two men were wounded on the street, near the post office. The Russians fired a mortar shell at them," he said, adding that one of the wounded died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
"Probably, a residential building where a man and a woman were staying was attacked with Grad rockets, they died on the spot. Their bodies were found by rescuers when they were extinguishing the fire," added Honcharov.
According to him, private and apartment buildings and a bakery building were damaged in the community.
"Two houses were completely burned down. A barn burned down in one yard, and all the windows in a two-story house were blown out. The bakery building also has no windows," said the head of the community.
