Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski made a statement, TVP reports.

"As of today, Poland cannot accept all the grain harvested in Ukraine, neither our ports nor the railway are ready for such a load. However, Kyiv is considering long-term prospects for transportation through our country, so we are now concluding agreements that can be the basis for large investments. Our ports have enough space and the necessary investments can be attracted quickly.

Gdansk can become the main port for Ukrainian grain exports. It is also possible to extend the broad-gauge line, which ends in Slavkov, so that it leads to Gdansk along the coal highway," said the deputy prime minister.

He also accused one of the leaders of the Polish opposition, Donald Tusk, of "frightening Polish farmers with Ukrainian grain," and these statements are fondly quoted by Russian media.

"When the vital interests of Poland are at stake, Tusk opposes. Very often his point of view coincides with Russian propaganda, as this time. However, it is important that our farmers know that Ukrainian grain does not pose a threat to them. Its recipients are in North Africa and the Middle East," he added.
