Gauleiters fight among themselves over influence in Melitopol - mayor on explosions the day before
An explosion occurred in temporarily Russian-occupied Melitopol in the Zaporizhzhia region the day before. This is probably the result of a war between Gauleiters for power in the city
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reported this.
“Regarding the explosion in Melitopol, it happened in a building belonging to one of the Gauleiter Yevhen Balytskyi. This building was captured as early as February 24 by FSB units to house their personnel. It got to the point that Balytskyi and his family were no longer allowed into this building on the 2nd or 3rd day of the occupation. After several months of occupation, one of the propagandist media was located in this building, which retransmitted its propaganda to the entire occupied part of the region,” Fedorov said.
The mayor of the city emphasized that the TV tower that rebroadcasts Russian media was located near the explosion site.
It is reported that the explosion was the result of a power struggle in the city.
“On one side is the General Staff of the Russian Ministry of Defense, represented by the "Gaulairter" Yevhen Balytskyi. On the other side is the FSB, whose local protege is Volodymyr Rohov. This is not the first example of their war. They are fighting for spheres of influence, for money flows,” Fedorov said.
