Russian propaganda media reported the information.
Russian officials said that trade between Russia and China reached a record in 2022, despite the sanctions. This year, they expect trade to exceed USD 200 billion.
Putin said that almost all the parameters of the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline agreement, which will run through Mongolia, have been agreed upon, and Russia plans to supply at least 98 billion m3 of gas to China by 2030. Vladimir Putin said that Russia will be able to "meet China's growing demand for energy.”
In addition, Russia plans to replace the production facilities that have left the country with Chinese goods and businesses. In turn, it expects an increase in the share of Russian goods in China.
The two leaders also said that Russia and China are ready to create a joint working body to develop the Northern Sea Route, a transportation route between the European part of Russia and the Arctic.
Earlier, it was announced that Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Russia on March 20 to 22.
