FSB blames Ukrainian Ministry of Defense of undermining the Crimean bridge and announces detention of eight suspects
The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation blamed the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for the explosion on the Crimean Bridge and announced that it had allegedly detained eight suspects.
This is reported by the Russian mass media.
The FSB stated that the organizer of the Crimean Bridge bombing "was the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, its head Kyrylo Budanov, employees and agents."
The FSB has announced that it has allegedly detained five citizens of Russia, three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia, who are suspected of participating in the preparation of the explosion. In total, 12 people are suspected of involvement in the explosion.
Investigators believe the explosive device that went off on the bridge was hidden in rolls of construction plastic wrap on 22 pallets. The FSB claims that at the beginning of August, the explosives were sent from Odesa to Bulgaria, from there to Armenia, Georgia, and then to Russia, from where it reached the occupied Crimea.
