Front line, our active actions: Zelenskyy sums up week's results
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy summed up the results of his visit to Volyn, his meeting with Poland's President Andrzej Duda in Lutsk and thanked those serving with Ukraine's detached brigades.
He said this in his address on 9 July.
The President noted that he had met with Duda in the morning, and together they attended a prayer service in a Lutsk church with representatives of all faiths and religious communities and honoured the memory of all the victims in Volyn.
Zelenskyy also reminded that a lengthy meeting on the situation in the region had been held in Lutsk, in Lubart's castle, to discuss security, the situation on the border and in the border areas of Belarus.
"The priority is to strengthen each region, our entire northern border. We analysed the training and support of our Defence and Security Forces and relevant units in Volyn. There was a report on the social situation in the region, the needs of people. Energy, water supply, budgetary support - both for people and for the social sphere. The state of shelters, jobs in the region," Zelenskyy said.
In addition, he noted that this week there is something to be grateful for the soldiers of the 3rd separate assault brigade, the 24th separate mechanised brigade, and the paratroopers of the "eighties".
The President added that the paratroopers of the Seventy-Ninety Brigade, the artillerymen of the 55th Separate Zaporizhzhia Sich Brigade, the 74th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion and the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade had performed with great power, courage and precision in the Tauride sector. But the president particularly recognised a soldier of the Zaporizhzhia Sich brigade, Major Volodymyr Honcharov.
"Thank you, Volodymyr! Seaman Serhii Komar, 35th Separate Marine Brigade - thank you, Serhii! Soldier Oleksiy Labenets, a rifleman with the security battalion of the 15th Transport Aviation Brigade. Thank you, Oleksiy! Artillerymen of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade's "Magura", Major Anton Cherevko and Senior Lieutenant Vasyl Abramiv. Thank you, guys!" Zelenskyy said.
He also thanked everyone who is fighting and working for Ukraine.
