France will provide Ukraine with long-range missiles – Macron
As part of the new aid package, France will deliver long-range missiles to Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron said this in an interview with the French TV channel TF1 on Monday, May 15.
Macron confirmed that France will be sending numerous armored vehicles and light tanks, including AMX-10RCs combat vehicles, to Ukraine within the next few weeks. He also stated that his country would provide additional equipment, including long-range missiles, to enable a counteroffensive.
The French head of state made the comments hours after Britain promised Zelenskyy to provide long-range attack drones to Ukraine during his visit on Monday as part of a European tour aimed at securing new weapons for a counteroffensive against Russia.
Macron, when questioned about aircraft deliveries to Ukraine, clarified that the topic was not discussed during his meeting with Zelenskyy in France over the weekend. However, he emphasized that there were no limitations regarding the training of Ukrainian pilots on French military aircraft and expressed France's readiness to commence training programs immediately.
