Mariupol mayor's adviser Petro Andryushchenko shared the update in his Telegram channel.
"The humanitarian situation is deteriorating rapidly. In addition to the crisis with drinking water, the food situation has deteriorated rapidly," he said.
The lack of food is caused by the reduction of humanitarian aid, as well as the return of Mariupol residents from coastal villages, to which the 'humanitarian' is not delivered at all.
"The result is large queues of thousands of people. There is definitely not enough food," said the mayor's adviser.
