According to Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev, preserving Bulgaria's interests is crucial, particularly since two other countries have already made a similar decision. Failing to respond appropriately could result in even more accumulations on Bulgarian territory, so they are actively working on this issue.
The minister stated that they would receive the legal basis for rejecting Ukrainian imports on Monday, following which he would hold talks with the Minister of Economy. Gechev expects that the Bulgarian president will discuss the corresponding decision on Tuesday.
On Saturday, April 15, the Polish government officially approved a ban on importing Ukrainian grain and other food products to Poland. However, they emphasized that this decision does not change their position regarding supporting Ukraine.
