Five keys to victory: Ukrainian general outlines what Ukraine needs to survive and win
Ukraine needs to prepare its people. When Ukrainian women can walk with their children while calmly carrying weapons, it will show the country is truly ready for war
Ukrainian Armed Forces Reserve Major General Serhiy Kryvonos shared hhis opinions with Espreso TV.
"We must focus on preparing the population. When I see women in Ukraine calmly walking with small children while carrying weapons, I’ll know the country is ready for war. We’re not there yet. The main priorities are: the economy, people’s motivation and training, fortifying the territory, delivering powerful strikes on Russia’s rear, and properly preparing military leaders. These five factors will bring us success and the right to exist," he said.
Kryvonos commented on the information about the illegal border crossing by men, presented by the Temporary Investigative Commission of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada. Following the meeting, MP Yuliia Yatsyk reported that, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, nearly 45,000 men have illegally crossed the border.
"This is a major problem, and the State Border Guard Service must be the first to address it. I believe they absolutely must comment. The figure shows that there has been no national patriotic education in the country since 1991. People's motivation must be instilled from childhood. The authorities still aren’t tackling these issues, but they must. There is no ideology or education for the population and youth at all. I still don’t see any action from the government to ensure that every school has basic drones for children to learn to use, or paintball sets for them to play with. The war isn’t going anywhere, even if a temporary ceasefire happens," the general said.
