First six Leopard 2A4 tanks Spain gives to Ukrainian army reach Poland

Six Leopard tanks that Spain is giving the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already in Poland, from where they will be sent to Ukraine by rail

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said this, El Mundo reports.

Margarita Robles noted on Friday, April 28, that the first six Leopard 2A4 tanks that Spain promised Ukraine have already arrived in Poland a week after leaving the port of Santander. The Leopards will then travel by rail to a position that is not being disclosed for security reasons.

“This morning six Leopards arrived at the Polish port, which were repaired by Spain and will be delivered to Ukraine. Today, the railroad journey begins,” the minister said.

Spain is also to send four more Leopard tanks, which are currently being repaired at a factory in Seville. Robles noted that they were in worse condition, so it will take about two months to repair them and send them to Ukraine.
